During my days at Llewellin Barracks (1972/3), Maleme Dam was the site of a few moonlight skinny dips after a wild night at the Magic Moon night club (trying to score with Fernanda Cannova who was the fiery Italian resident singer at the time). I recall one of the guys in my intake was dating the sister of one of the staff sergeants - and I was one of the lucky NCO's who had my car at camp. About eight or nine of us, including Katie (not her real name ;-)))) would cram (and I mean cram) into my baby Daihatsu Compagno (DeLuxe ... hahaha) station wagon and head for them thar hills to cool off (read sober up)....... We'd sneak Katie back in to MQ and try to get back into main camp before morning flags/Reveille.
