My Dad Mervyn St. Quintin was big mates with his son John, they went to school together. In 98 I did a road trip around the country and pulled into a roadside shopping village near Marandalas. I knew the MacIlwanes had a farm in the area, I asked the lady there and she said yes, in fact she said John was sitting around the corner. I went and introduced myself and had quite a discussion, one of the things he spoke about was a girlfriend my father had, I suspect before WW11. I said that she was well before my time, with that he responded, well yes I suppose so!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06908235459035682672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2492196556063118752.post-49980586618559471492010-05-12T09:48:19.313+02:002010-05-12T09:48:19.313+02:00Nick Baalbergen Writes:-

I remember the luxury of under-floor heating in the 'new section'..................Ah, good memories!!Rhodesia Rememberedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06644511584084003690noreply@blogger.com
